This comprehensive course is suitable for Drug Workers, Housing Support Workers, Resettlement Workers, Hostel Workers, Street Outreach and all those who want to maximise the effectiveness of the support they provide to people within their housing environment.

Aims:

To provide workers with the skills and knowledge to enable clients to develop their social skills and move towards more independent living.

Following completion of this course participants will:

• Be able to identify the components of successful tenancy sustainment
• Have interventions appropriate to each stage of the motivational cycle
• Have strategies for moving people towards independent living
• Have the information to develop support plans with service users
• Be aware of safer practices for lone working
