REBT helps individuals to identify their irrational beliefs and to link these to their emotional distress and self-defeating actions. It teaches them to dispute their irrational beliefs and find rational alternatives, enabling them to develop positive changes in both their mood and behaviour.

This course is designed for workers in a range of settings who already have a basic understanding of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy approaches and wish to expand upon their knowledge of, and skills in, cognitive-based therapeutic interventions.

To have an overview of the key principles and techniques of REBT.

Following completion of this course participants will:

  • Have a working knowledge of the key principles of REBT
  • Understand how these are applied in practiceHave practised REBT skills
