Course Length: One Day
This course is suitable for people who have completed the introduction to CBT or have more than a basic knowledge of Cognitive Behaviour Psychotherapy. Suitable for all practitioners who support individuals with drug and alcohol, mental health &/or homelessness problems.
Aims:
To build upon the practitioner’s skills and knowledge in CBT theory and techniques.
Following completion of this course participants will:
- Have learnt basic CBT skills from Level 1 (or from previous experience)
- Understand the use of homework assignments in CBT
- Practise skills in forming a conceptualisation both simple and complex
- Have a basic understanding of the CBT model for addictions
- Gain skills in CBT and its use for substance misuse and mental health problems
