I am proud to be Chief Executive of CAN and have been in this role since 2002. Prior to this I worked as a Senior Manager at CAN and have seen the organisation grow enormously. I have 20 years experience of working in the substance use field.
My interest in the field began when a student studying for a degree at the University of Sussex. I became a volunteer at a hostel for the single homeless and it was this insight that led to my interest in homelessness, substance use and criminal justice. I went on to become a qualified Social Worker before working for several years as a Probation Officer before moving to CAN.
CAN has been named as one of the UK’s top 100 places to work in the Not for Profit Sector by the prestigious Sunday Times Best Companies to Work for guide.
