What is groupwork?
Groupwork is an opportunity to build structure into a day, share experience with other people with similar issues, and learn from them whilst supporting and encouraging each other and to make changes in your life.
You will be provided with Tea, coffee, biscuits and fruit before each group.

This is an overview of some of the groups which we have available;
WOMEN’S GROUP: Provides opportunities for women to get together to share, discuss and be creative about issues that are of importance to them. Topics include hair and beauty, health, relationships and crafts etc.
LIFESTYLE AWARENESS AND HOMESKILLS: Provides opportunities for people to discover more about themselves and the opportunity to develop their social skills and consider their futures.
Topics include: Confidence Building / Choices, Actions and Consequences / Dreams and Ambitions
LIFESTYLE CREATIVITY & LEISURE: Provides opportunities for people to have some fun and find new skills in abilities in exploring different areas such as: Music, Writing, Arts & Crafts, Sport, Drama
COMPLEMENTARY THERAPIES:
This treatment can have a physical, emotional, intellectual or spiritual effect and provides an opportunity to sit in a relaxing atmosphere for 45 minutes.
MAKING CHANGES: Provides opportunities for those who are considering making changes in drug use and are becoming more stable. Topics include: Harm minimisation, triggers, cravings, cycle of change, introduction to relapse prevention and progress to work.
STIMULANT GROUP: Provides information and support for those using stimulants. Also includes acupuncture and relaxation.
Topics include: Harm minimisation, sexual health, healthy living, neurological effects and relaxation.
MANAGING EMOTIONS: Explores stressful emotions and provides tools for controlling them. Identifies physical and emotional signs of stress and anger and looks at the consequences of certain behaviours. Topics Include: Emotions, behaviour (positive and negative), tension, relaxation and assertiveness.
SOCAROBICS:
Have fun and get fit.
GARDENING PROJECT: This provide the opportunity to explore the therapeutic nature of gardening. Participants plan and design the Garden produce a range of vegetables as well as enjoy growing other decorate plants.
SERVICE USER FORUM: it an opportunity for service users to get involve in shaping our service as well as establish pathways into work. There are a range of activities e.g. attending national meetings, set up fund social activities for other clients etc.
