The Full SP
A one-stop shop looking at social and practical issues with an aim of reintergrating people back into employment, training, education and society in general. Includes help with job search, form filling, housing, job applications or simply drop in and socialise. Play board games hold discussion sessions, book club and have a say about any additional areas you feel will be helpful and much more.
Making Changes
Encouraging people to be bold in their choices for the future and all areas of their life. People will receive a strong peer support element and relevant topics including planning strategies and goal setting will also covered.
Topics Group
This is an open group discussing current affairs, world and historical events and topics of interest. This group helps to build on communication and help people to acquire skills to support in strengthening their confidence and self esteem.
Creativity and Leisure
This group is open and builds on the creative skills of the people within the group. Participation in poetry, arts and crafts, story boards all help to keep the mind active and develops creative skills
DIVAS in Action
A safe space where women can meet other women and gain and provide support. Time is also given to explore various topics and issues.
Family and Friends
This is a peer support group, which explores ways of coping with the issues of someone else’s drug/alcohol use. One of the aims is to combat the feeling of helplessness and isolation felt by a person in this situation.
Socarobics
This is a exercise session for people who want to find a fun way to kick start and supplement their journey to a healthier lifestyle. The sessions use music to create a fun and energetic atmosphere, which helps to guide participants through various stages of the session.
Stimulant Group
Come along and learn the truth about stimulants (cocaine, crack, speed etc), the health risks and look at how to reduce the harm of using and look after yourself better.

These groups aim to provide people with the tools to help them realise their potential and develop a strategy for a healthier lifestyle.
Managing Emotions
Focussing on the links between thoughts feelings and behaviours. People attending the group will learn skills to help improve self-esteem, develop self-awareness around communication and learn to recognise the build up of stress to prevent negative outcomes.
Gardening Group
This group is done in-house and will look at plant care, plant hygiene, potting on, taking and growing cuttings. People will learn how to prepare gardens and indoor plants for spring and many more hints and tips.
Relapse Prevention
A 12 weeksrolling programme based around frequent problems that could lead to a lapse in recovery if not addressed in different ways
Counselling
CAN currently has two trainee counsellors who are able to tailor their work to the client i.e. Person Centred, Cognitive Behavioural etc.
