Those who have been on remand or serving a custodial sentence can access CAN’s criminal justice team and all the services that we provide on release.
We will receive referrals from the healthcare or CARAT worker within the prison and be able to make contact with you before you are released or make appropriate referrals such as continuation of treatment or housing so work is being done on this before you’re released.
We will also arrange a suitable appointment for you to see a CAN criminal justice drug and alcohol worker on your release so an assessment can be completed and necessary support packages put in place and any other appropriate referrals completed.
