As part of our Drug And Alcohol Referral Scheme (DAARS) CAN are working in partnership with Northants Police and Northants DAAT and are operating a PND Waiver Scheme.

The scheme is for those who have been issued a penalty notice for disorder because they have committed an alcohol related offence.

The PND waiver Notice gives you a choice…

1. Pay the fine in the usual manner within the period indicated on the notice.

OR

2. Request a Court Hearing

OR

3. Have the fine waived by electing to attend and engage with two alcohol awareness sessions at CAN within 28 days from in which the date of the penalty Notice was issued.

What to expect from the two sessions with CAN

CAN will be able to offer you more appointments if necessary and this will be on a voluntary basis. CAN will also make any necessary referrals for you and help you access other useful services.
