Boost for CAN's Mentoring Project

CAN Secures Big Lottery Funding

CAN is delighted to be awarded funding from the Big Lottery fund and the funding will further develop the Footsteps Project which works in conjunction with Northamptonshire CAN housing to enable service user involvement, peer mentoring ,befriending, and volunteering. The Lottery funding will seek to enable volunteers to become actively involved in providing advice and support, information, and training, which in turn will directly benefit everyone, bringing an added dimension to lives so that people can go on to achieve and contribute in a positive way. The journey of recovery and resettlement is challenging and difficult, and very often people suffer a lack of self-worth and confidence to move forward to a new lifestyle.. Mentors and befrienders can be people who have experienced personal difficulties themselves, or people who want to simply just volunteer to help others. The Big Lottery funding will really help Footsteps to provide support and encouragement towards the future
