CAN is a registered charity providing services to help adults and young people overcome problems with drugs, alcohol and homelessness across Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire and Luton.
I am delighted to announce that CAN have been awarded the Oxfordshire Young People’s Substance Misuse Service contract. This is a 3 year contract that will start on 1st October 2014. CAN has a lot of experience in the provision young people’s services and we are thrilled to have been given this opportunity to take these skills into Oxfordshire.
We will be working with the existing team and building ... Shortly before Christmas, CAN launched its first Staff Fundraising Challenge. We encouraged staff across our various services to come up with fun, engaging fundraising activities to raise much needed funds for CAN. The response has, so far, been fantastic.
We have heard of some fantastic activities including sponsored head shaves, cupcake sales, market stalls, sponsored diets and many more. Many staff have really taken this on board and are talking about repeating activities to raise ... CAN are delighted to announce that, with the ongoing funding support from Bedford Borough Council and Central Bedfordshire Council, we are continuing to deliver expert services to the young people and families of Bedfordshire effected by alcohol and/or drug misuse.
